Idaho 2050 Long-Range Transportation Plan

The Idaho Transportation Department's Long-Range Transportation Plan will look at the needs of the transportation network out to the year 2050 and consider a variety of factors, including growth, travel demands, land use, safety, economic development, system reliability and anticipated revenue. Public input and insights from this analysis will help ITD identify the best strategy for investing in the transportation system. ITD is committed to ensuring that the development of the 2050 LRTP reflects the needs, priorities and perspectives of all Idahoans.

The LRTP is a strategic framework that will guide how ITD plans, invests in, and manages Idaho’s transportation system over the next 25 years. To keep the plan relevant, ITD will revisit and update the LRTP every five years, making adjustments as conditions and expected trends evolve. As Idaho continues to experience rapid growth and change, this plan will help ensure that the state’s transportation network supports safe and efficient movement of people and goods.
